Very good apart from the shoddy stitching! Perfect fit. Just not as good as the original's.

I'm delighted with this smock in terms of value for money. I'd read a few reviews which called out the poor quality of the stitching and drawcords. The quality of the fabric and stitching on mine was excellent, however the drawcords are not single lengths, but lots of shorter lengths stitched together. I would have expected single lengths. At this price I'm still very happy with the overall value for money, but I can't help thinking how much extra it would cost the manufacturer to use single lengths?

Overall, a good item - however, as other reviewers have pointed out, manufacturing standards could be higher... turning a good item into an excellent one. The initial item sent out had a manufacturing fault - the hook-and-loop/velcro strip was missing completely from the left-wrist cuff. FU-Kit's returns' process was easy to use and swift - a replacement was put aside for me, and checked before being sent out (my excess postage (to return the item) was fully refunded, too). My husband - for whom the Smock was purchased - is 6' 3", 14 stone, with a 42-44" chest. The Smock is a great fit (roughly a 180/104) - plenty of length in the arms; room for several additional layers underneath (it is a thin material - less dense than the old-school DPM Smocks, so he'll likely wear a fleece in Winter). Similar to others' comments, my husband had made a few modifications to make the Smock even more practical - a few extra stitches to secure the velcro, where loose in places; he's run thin bungee-cord and cord-stoppers to cinch the lower hem; and he's added a button and loop to allow the hood to be rolled away. In summary, a good practical Smock - that can be made even better with an hour of DIY-tailoring.

Many years ago I had a real ventile SAS coat, I walked miles in it. As I don't have it anymore, I bought this for about a quarter of the price and it looks good. I ran the material under the top and the water ran off. As I said a great buy. Alan E Taylor 10/10

Fit is larger than I would normally wear, but ok with that, however stitching is a poor standard, already frayed and velcro coming away instead places
