“Unfortunately the description and photographs must be of older stock because the hand of the fabric felt wrong; it felt colder and harder than 100% cotton would suggest. There are similarities and differences to the a PCS smock. Features or lack there of :- • Wired hood with drawstrings. Toggles are at the end of the drawstrings and these toggles can be clipped together thus lessening the chance of them flicking into your chin or eyes. • Main zip is two way chunky type • Storm flap over the zip is held in place by Velcro tabs • Unlike the photos the top chest pockets are on a slant. o Underneath the flaps are sewn tape to hold pens in place. • Underneath the chest pockets are more chest pockets accessed by vertical zips. o Inside the zip pockets are pen pockets • Below the chest pockets are lower pockets. These two and the two outer chest pockets are covered by flaps and secured by large buttons. The buttons are held in place by strong tape usually described as Canadian buttons. • There are a pocket each on each of the upper arms • There were no inner pockets • There were no arm pit zips for ventilation • There are drawstrings for the waist and lower hem • Velcro to close the sleeves to prevent heat loss • It is basically a single layer smock but inside across the shoulders there is a short lining (useful during rain). • Website only shows S to XXL for ordering. But I entered 170/104 in the comment box during the ordering process and that was the size which arrived. I found double Ventile too hot in the winter, even a single layer PCS type smock (35% polyester 65% cotton) with open arm pit zips too hot. I was hoping a single layer 100% cotton would be cool enough but this is actually 50% polyester which would be too sweaty also won’t take well to domestic dye like 100% cotton would. Intended to dye it a less military colour (was arrested in Libya for wearing an olive M65 jacket). As most people won’t have acclimatised to 50+ °C heat I give it...”

“Arrived quickly and before time. The jacket is well made and very generously sized, mine was a 120 cm chest which I thought might be tight on my actual 130 cm, but no - does up well with plenty of room to spare. The zips are very heavy duty and the button fastenings are as good as current MOD issue. The material is not as thick as you might expect but is still windproof and quite warm. Big tick all round!”
