“Good service. Beautiful coat, Looks and feels great. I'm a 46" extra tall and and it was a snug fit and it could have done with being longer. Another slight disappointment was that it doesn't have a inside pocket.”

“I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised by how well the coat fits me, having had some bad experiences with surplus clothing in the past. The professionals at the fkit warehouse really followed my measurements and preferences to a tee. I haven't yet tested the coat outside (as it is still summer) but it seems to be quite well made and comfortable. The material is slightly thinner than I expected, though. The coat is probably not something you would take on an expedition to the arctic, but I'm sure it will be fine for winter use in Helsinki. The double-breasted front and closed back should make it ideal for windy weather. It's about as thick as what you would find for sale today at high end coatmakers, although the material does seem tougher and more dense than most modern coats. This is purely speculative, but I just can't see this coat wearing down any time soon, even with heavy use. Some minor points: The colour of my coat is slightly darker than in the pictures, which I personally prefer. The colour pops a bit more than navy would, without being too flashy. The coat smelled like a surplus warehouse when I got it, but not too badly. I aired mine out in my small apartment and it never really bother me too much. Also, the brass buttons are a bit much for me personally, so I got some less flashy ones for it for a few euros. All in all I'm very satisfied with my purchase.”

“I actually bought the size 38 chest. Excellent fit and the shoulders are nicely sculpted. This is the unissued version. The wool is beautiful and soft. For the wool alone, the price is very low. I will have a couple of minor adjustments done - taken in at the sides slightly and hemmed at the bottom. The heaviest and softest winter coat I have. An absolute bargain. The first one I bought was too large, but I returned it and quickly received a refund. Friendly and fast service.”

“I saw this coat and bought it on impulse. It's a really good quality item. I am a 34" chest so I got the 36/38" chest size. I can wear it with a jumper, a blazer or just a shirt and it fits nicely. I am about 5"9 and my coat sits lower on the leg than the model in the pictures but still above the knee. This coat feels very warm and will certainly be great In harsh winter conditions. The coat has no inside pocket but if the coat is buttoned up you couldn't reach inside anyway. The outside pockets are deep and you dont feel the items such as wallet and phone inside them when wearing the coat. The length of the cost prevents easy access to trousers pockets, but then again, it is a winter overcoat, and a very smart one at that. The buttons have the odd bit of tarnish but nothing serious however, I will swap the for a more subtle button anyway. Once this item is worn it it will lol look great and last for many years, I'm sure!”

“Coat looks barely used and the fabric is nice and heavy. Badges and emblems came off easily without leaving marks. As mentioned in other reviews the colour is darker than in the pictures. Rather a dark navy blue. For me with a slim somewhat athletic build the fit while perfect across the shoulders was quite relaxed around the waist. I've had it taken in quite a bit for a fitted look while still leaving room for an extra layer of clothes.”

“The coat arrived promptly and was in very good condition. There are epaulets sewn on but this was noted in the description even though they don't show in the picture. The coat is heavy and the wool is of excellent quality. The colour is a bit darker than pictured in the photo. It does have a slight odour that one expects from surplus stock. All in all -- a high quality garment at an excellent price.”
