“Having read the reviews, which sounded too good to be true, I 'took a chance' and placed my order. I was not disappointed. The quality of the gaberdine material is exceptional. The buttons, which some reviewers criticised, are perfect as far as my wife and I are concerned and well sewn on. It is a very nice shade of grey with a touch of blue (definitely not green as someone said). It arrived with some creasing but I put it on a hanger and fired steam from the iron at the creases. They were all gone in 15 minutes but I left it hanging for a couple of days. Shortly after it arrived we went to The Hague in Holland where it was 4 degrees with a cold breeze. The coat reacted very well as it kept me warm so no problem. I am a 42 chest but ordered the 44 which fits well over shirt and pullover. Fantastic product.”

“Cut in that military style that encourages you to stand up straight with your shoulders back, this is made from a good strong cloth, is warm and robust and pairs well with a suit. The buttons are attached in a somewhat flimsy manner, but easily reinforced with a needle and some thread. The inner padded lining zips out for summer or to be washed separately. Mine was more of a green grey than a blue grey, your mileage may vary. Overall, give it a steam iron when it arrives, and leave it to hang for a few days, and you're good to go. Also, plan for it to arrive quickly. This team doesn't dawdle.”

“This is an excellent coat. I bought the 42" chest and took the zipped lining out and this lets me where it with a waistcoat and jacket underneath very comfortably. It arrived very quickly, no odour but a little creased so I ironed it (steam iron with a cloth over the coat to avoid shines) then hung it and sprayed it with Fabreze, just to freshen it up a bit. Yes, the buttons are not the best, but these can be changed, but at this price for this quality it is still a brilliant coat and a very good service.”

“This is an amazing coat, in immaculate condition. It arrived with a slight odour but this was from storage. I aired the coat for a day or two, and I couldn’t smell it anymore. The coat fits really well. Using the internal quilted jacket has kept me warm on cold December days. I haven’t had to use it in rain yet.”

“Like the previous reviewer, I am a 40" chest so I got the 42" chest size so that a jacket can be worn underneath and I also got the tall length to be just right for me - I'm 5' 11" and the coat falls just below me knees. The coat came with plenty of creases in it from the packaging, but careful application of a steam iron got all the creases out - a towel was put into the shoulder area with one hand with the other hand holding the steam iron to iron out the creases around the shoulder. After about half an hour of ironing, it was transformed with the only thing detracting slightly from the appearance being the buttons as they are very shiny plastic ones. Maybe at some stage I may replace them, but for now I am quite happy with the existing ones. The only fault I found that was easily fixed was that one epaulet button had been secured through the detachable lining, making it non-detachable. I just removed the button and sewed it on again underneath the lining. For the price it is impossible to expect perfection and for that reason I am giving it 5 stars. Many thanks for a top quality gaberdine raincoat that would cost a great deal more on the high street.”

“This is a well designed and well made (with one strange exception) coat. My chest is 40 inches. I got the 42 inch size, I wear a jacket under it and it fits fine. I found the 'tall' length right for a trench coat. The removable lining is warm and well secured. I give it 3 out of 5 because of 2 shortcomings and these are 1. The colour is described as 'grey colour which has a slight blue/green tinge to it'. The coat is green. Not grey, and there is no blue in it under any light. It is a green coat. I like the colour but it is not what you see in the photo or read in the description. 2. The buttons. Do Italian soldiers have to sew their buttons when their coats are issued? Probably not, which makes me wonder what the garment has to do with any country's military, apart from the colour (green), and the cut. Two of the buttons fell off the first time I wore it out and I am lucky I noticed and retrieved them. So, rather than returning the coat, because I like it otherwise I will buy a matching thread (green), and sew all the buttons myself, slightly increasing the price and reducing the bargain. In summary: apart from the loose buttons this is a quality coat and cheap in 2019 at £35 plus shipping.”

“I bought this coat for my partner who has always struggled to find one that looks smart, is fit for purpose and at a good price. This has ticked all 3 of those boxes. It’s the perfect coat. I was shocked at how heavy it was when it arrived, the stitching is crisp and clean, the colour is very unique and at a price point that is unbelievable. If this were to hit public mass market, it would be worth at least 3x the amount. My partner is over the moon at the quality and at how well it fits him. He is 6ft3 broad build so I got him a large with a tall length and it fits perfectly. It can pull off both casual and smart occasions too which is what the market currently lacks. It is fit for purpose with the weatherproofing on the shoulders as well as having a removable inner layer for Spring-Autumn time making it a year-round garment. Thoroughly impressed with this as well as this company. I ordered this less than 48 hours ago as I write this and it showed up this afternoon. I’ve never used this company before and so wasn’t sure of what we would be getting (if we got anything at all!), but my expectations have been totally exceeded. I am a very happy customer and proud to say that I’m now a loyal one too. Amazing.”

“Arrived very quickly and was just as ordered. the coat is warm and comfortable but could not be worn over a jacket, however with the Gillet fitted it is warm enough for that not to matter. A nice looking coat at a great price can't be bad.”
