“Spent £743 on these diffusers as I love the smell. Unfortunately the lacquer on the top of the diffuser cap is all peeling off. I emailed the retailer to be told: Hi karen Thanks for your email and purchase with us Unfortunately, this happens to all of the reed diffusers – it is due to the alcohol from the scent dripping down from the reeds and lying on the gold painted top. It has happened to all our display ones within our showroom. We flagged this with the supplier who stated it was due to the alcohol from the scent within the reeds. Not really good enough is it? Poor customer service selling a high priced item which looks a mess and ready for the bin after 1 week!”

Dear Karen, I apologize on behalf of our supplier for the flaw to the faux gold finish on the lid of your reed diffuser, We have flagged this with the manufacturer in the past so they are aware of the situation and until they have came up with a solution we had stated in the product description "Please note: Alcohol from this product causes flaws to the gold effect finish on the lid of this product" - We have took every step possible to ensure our suppliers are conscious of this issue with the faux gold finish on the lid of this particular reed diffuser. As you can see on other reviews, we are known for taking ownership and caring deeply about each and every review. We can’t fix the past but you have our personal commitment to improve how our suppliers handle each and every product.
