“Quite a strong botanical taste - not unpleasant but not very gin like to me - but then I do like my Gordon’s export!! Refreshing in the summer I would imagine as a long drink with plenty of mixer. Probably a good flavoured option for someone wishing to reduce their alcohol intake yet have a gin like drink. .”
“Persuaded to buy this by all the good reviews so in the interest of balance, I have to say I didn’t like it at all, tasted like Parma violets. Not for me, sorry!”
“Review on label-suggested tipple, Bowser ‘Low Martini’: the blend of herbs is delicious and sophisticated, fragrant and somewhat leaning towards the ‘medicinal’ end of liqueur flavours, saying it’s simply ‘alcohol free gin’ doesn’t do it justice. I (accidentally) switched the suggested ratio for the low martini to 1 part Bowser to 5 parts Vermouth (standard alcoholic version) combined with a chilli-stuffed green olive and presented in an iced martini glass at new year. Found the little chilli kick at the finish compliments the sweetness. All guests enjoyed the toast! So although its perfect as a ‘mocktail’, it also makes a decent cocktail ingredient, and I’m sure it’s equally good with a decent tonic like Fever Tree.”
Thanks for taking the time to leave such a cracking and detailed review! You are right, Bowser LEAF makes an awesome cocktail ingredient with or without the alcohol. It's tasty stuff FULL STOP.
“I first discovered this in lockdown when I was looking for something to replace my daily Conker gin which was becoming a habit! I’ve tried other non alcoholic “gins” but this is by far the best I’ve tasted.”
“Bowser Leaf is my "go to" drink for weekday evenings, mixed with low calorie Fever Tree tonic water. Like to alternate lemon/lime slices with orange slices - it changes the drink. Ice is essential!”
