“We needed a compact but functional and stylish office desk. My wife found one on Chase AV Direct but having just had a very frustrating experience with a national electronics and electrical goods store who managed to take over ?700 to complete an order for a product that they were out of stock of with no prospect of stock returning, I emailed Chase AV to check whether the desk was indeed in stock as per their web site and would be shipped when businesses reopened on 4th January. I think that the MD thought that I was being "funny" with my query, but answered my email personally late on Friday night.
The desk shipped on Monday 4th January, as promised, and arrived at 10.30am the following day. It is exactly as listed on the website, so much nicer than computer "workstations". The instructions need close attention to detail, but self-assembly was easy enough with no screws left over.
Chase AV Direct have an excellent web site that gives accurate stock levels of a huge range of products and it's an SME managed by a man who cares and goes the extra mile. A rarity these days.”

“great desk. purchased for the compact size to fit into a small space in a bedroom and opted for the version with the monitor and keyboard shelves as I was concerned the desk space itself may not be sufficient for me when I am working from home with a monitor, laptop, keyboard, mouse etc
The desk is a dream to fit together and even for me as a diy and self assembly phobic was done in about 10 minutes. The shelf package took slightly longer but very simple if a little fiddly.
It's worth noting that the shelf combination package can be left out entirely if you prefer, its a simply add on to the basic desk (though its both shelves or none, you cant just have one).
The desk itself is very sturdy and is a nice piece of furniture (which was a concern for me) and is surprisingly roomy - so much so that I am having to order a separate monitor as I couldnt see the laptop screen sufficiently when I put it on the monitor shelf!
It's a really comfortable height too. The keyboard shelf takes up a little bit of depth but if you have a height adjustable chair this isnt a problem.
I was expecting the keyboard shelf to be fairly flimsly but it isnt, it is a really solid piece of wood, that holds up well against heavy handed typing and slides easily - because the glass top is frosted you cant see the shelf and all the bits and bobs on it through the desk top, so it looks neat and tidy.
I'm really impressed and pleased with it. Its size is excellent for a compact space yet roomy enough to work on all day, several days a week - as I do. I also love the fact that the shelf set is an optional extra, at very little additional cost, and if you are unsure whether you need it or not, I would recommend you order it, as you can leave it off completely if you need to or prefer it without as it looks just like a glass top table without. At some point I may end up moving it to a different room, where I'd prefer it without the shelf and I can do this easily.
My only regret is that I didnt have room for the matching drawers and chair!”
“Took delivery of this desk yesterday and have to say it exceeded my expectations.
Deliberated very much about whether to get just the desk or the shelf and keyboard tray as well. Eventually, for the slight difference in cost, I opted for the latter and really glad that I did. It's an entirely separate add on pack so if it doesnt suit me when I'm working I can just remove it. I also expected the keyboard tray to be flimsy but it's actually very solid wood.
The whole desk is solidly made and fits in so well with the room, plus super easy to fit. The shelf/tray pack is a little more technical but helps if you stop and think and get the brackets on the correct side first!! Even with that slight glitch it was up in less than 30 minutes, desk itself probably 10 minutes.
Thanks also to Chase AV who delivered promptly, without fuss or chasing early on my preferred day (having had three weeks of failed deliveries for other furniture and goods this was such a welcome relief).”
