“Have just completed a bathroom project using all Mapei products and have to say that I struggled 80% of the time to get the right texture when I was using both adhesive and grout that required me to mix them. I really like the colour options and was aware that premixed products are not rated as highly by experts. However being a slow worker, I could not mix entire packets at once and despite carefully following the directions on packet and online - shaking up the packet, using weights and measures, power mixing, slaking - I got very inconsistent results with each batch. This grout in particular stayed as 'pebbles' in the bucket twice out of three mixes when using the advised quantity of water. I ended up having to add more water just to get to a paste pre-slaking. On the one occasion it seemed to mix as advertised, I found it fairly straightforward to use. However i would also say that despite trying to avoid the super-fast drying versions, this grout went off too fast for me to do as good a job as I'd hoped. Not really sure if the resulting grout is going to be problematic now it's on the wall, very much crossing my fingers. Intend to use premixed grout in future.”

Thank you for your review, The Mapei products are usually requested to mix the full bag as to keep the consistency and colour of the grout, the bags of adhesive if you need a little more time to play with the product we have a pro standard which is the slower setting adhesive, but again you would need to mix the full bag, if you would like any more information or would like to complain at all about your experience please feel free to do so at customerservice@tilegiant.co.uk
