“I have a single speed franken-bike and wanted some assistance in commuting up hills at the end of the day. Swytch has literally changed my life and made me a full time bicycle commuter! I still feel like I'm getting the exercise of biking and I have great control over my speed, but I get a little extra help with each pedal. Installation was easy if you're a little handy, but you could also have your local bike shop put it together. It does add a little bit of weight, but I don't even notice it. I pre ordered for delivery to a major city on the East Coast of the USA and was impressed by Swytch's communication about the manufacturing and delivery process over the months. I love riding my bike so much more now!”
“The kit fitted very well and worked first time. There needed to be a slight modification to the pedal sensor to make it fit the shape of the downtube and not hit the cadence ring, but otherwise was easy. It's transformational around the hills of Sheffield and basically brought my old bike back into regular use.”
“Wrong wheel size was sent . Was a bit frustrating as I had to build a new wheel due to the region I live. however once I made the adjustment , the kit has worked flawlessly. My ride experience has been wonderful. Totally satisfied with the product from a riding aspect .”
“I converted my second bike with the Swytch kit. It is great to commute to my work. It was relatively easy to convert my bike into an e-bike with the Swytch Kit. I put the battery back on the seat; the battery in the handle was not so comfortable to ride. I had to wait a little longer to get my kit; this was my only complaint after that; customer service was good. The manuals and videos online are very useful. I am happy because with the Swytch Kit and kept my old bike, that I love it.”
“Excellent, works great on a single speed commuter, especially at 2 in the morning with wind and rain in your face.
Would recommend to anyone thinking of dipping a toe in electric bikes.”
“I bought the Max battery and throttle. The wheel with hub motor didn't fit the Specialized spoke which had a gap of 9mm. I filed the gap out to 1cm (the spoke is aluminium). The rest of the installation was ok. The range of the max battery is slightly disappointing. I have a ride of 8 miles to work. Most of the time I use a setting of 1 or 2, with only a small section of the route (400 metres) where I use setting 4 or 5. I have to recharge the battery at work - which is ok. However a cycle from Barnet to central London and back exceeds the battery range - even at setting 1 to 2. The throttle diameter is too small to fit the handle bars. Overall, to get me on the bike for a short commute the Swytch does a fair job to help me cope with the occasional incline on the route.”
