The 10W/40 has been used for an oil change in a Fiat 124sport just recently acquired from long storage. The second can is for an oil change in our everyday Vauxhall Astra 1.8 (2001) which will be carried out in September prior to MOT. At the last MOT I had queried whether there was some camshaft bearing wear, but the engineer asked what oil was being used - it is castrol edge 5W/40 which has been my preferred oil for years. However the engineer suggested that the Astra required a !0W/40 oil (viscosity) and that there is actually no camshaft wear. Castrol edge 10W/40 appears to be unobtainable. Hence purchase of your 10W/40 for both cars. Currently I have your running in oil in our Standard Avon special coupe (6 cylinder) which has a rebuilt engine needing running in. Also not yet tried because locating an AC bypass oil filter has been difficult so I am going to fit an ancient tractor casing with an HU826 (821?) Mann paper element. Long explanation, but your oils receive excellent reviews which is the reason for purchase and also the good value. Today I have taken out the Fiat 124 sport, which came with unbalanced twin webber two barrel carburetters. My attempted balance allows for running and tickover at least. The new 10W/40 has turned dark somewhat (I usually look for the oil to change to reddish then a little darker indicating it is nearing change and always change at about 4000 to 5000 miles on the Astra) - she is still running as new after 20 odd years). This darkening could be to do with the cleansing effect of new synthetic or it might be the set up of the car; engine was rebuilt 2000 miles ago (but 4 years ago) fast road specification and the old oil (which might have been 20W/50) was black when drained! Thank you for your interest, I hope this is of some use as feedback . Your expertise in oils is appreciated. Keith Lawrence

Have had no problems with Millers oils, having used differing grades for my MG / Rover cdti diesel engines. Very good oils.
