VR1 20w-50 is the only oil I use in classic car engines which do not have hydraulic lifters. With regular oil & filter changes never had any issues in last 20 yrs.

As an enthusiat for many years i am aware of motor vehicle products, i also worked with AP Lockheed for a time, most classic V8 owners use VR1 although their viscosity varies, it has always been widely recommended among particular car groups, ours being TVR.
