“Never used an engine flush before, was a little reticent, but following instructions there were no weird noises or changes in engine tone. I opted to do an oil flush with 5 litres of fresh oil for a further 15 minutes after having drained the original oil out. There was definitely some thickened residue within the oil. The engine got a second lot of fresh oil and a new oil filter and has been performing perfectly fine since, quiet and smooth, not that it wasn't before but after changing the cam cover gasket I noticed the engine looked a bit gunked up, so hopefully this has removed a good deal of it, I'm not taking the cam cover off to check though.”
