“If you race or run a classic Mini, there is no point in running any other oil. It's what it was designed for and have never had any lubrication issues.”
“The only oil we use in a racing (proper) Mini 1000, which has a straight cut competition gearbox and revs to 9000 rpm! Used for years and have never had any lubrication issues.”
“Should be good oil for my classic mini. Usually get Halfords but thought with the higher mike's I'd start treating the engine to better stuff. It's a bit pricey so alot in the mini scene but cheaper so if reduce the price.a.bit would probably sell more.”
Hi Stephen,
Excellent choice for the mini, as it carries the API GL4 rating this aids with the gearing as the mini's have a shared engine/gearbox. The CTV mini being a competition based synthetic will aid with any higher temperatures the engine may experience, if you decide to drive it harder, this will handle the pressure much better and be more stable in the hotter temperatures.
