“The Shell Helix range seemed to have the best compromise spec. over a wide range of oil brands - there is a lot of online resources on this. 0w-30 was chosen to ramp up early oil changes on a new vehicle and to get the multigrade compliance with the manufacturers requirements. Older vehicles I run with a 5w40.
Seems to work well, and the engine feels and sounds smooher than the OEM Petronas offering.”
