“How does one review oil… well from what I’ve read, and professionals I’ve chewed the fat with. This is the stuff for the track day enthusiasts daily. This went in my 535D estate that doesn't see much abuse but certainly gets it’s legs stretched. Moreover, from use in past cars, oil burning with this oil is non existent, and in cars that I’ve had in the past that consume oil like it’s not a finite resource I find their consumption reducing significantly… how I do not know…
This is LL04 compatible even when BMW’s new specifications on ash levels brought into affect in 2019.
If you’re a petrol head who uses their car vigorously and maybe see a track day once or twice a year this is a solid choice. Where as the NT+ oil variant is a phenomenal product but only for track day use bearing in mind that is offers better high temperature protection, lower coefficient of friction but as a result, reduced cold start protection.
