“The material used on your slipper soles has changed. It used to have enough give for comfort but now it is almost rigid. When I slide my aching feet into slippers I expect some softness underfoot but now could be bare footed on stone floor. I assume that the change is for cost saving reasons. I will not buy Moshulu slippers again.”

Being a fully lined sheepskin slipper the heel area of our Tiree is sheepskin as opposed to the padded suede you'd find on other styles, which may explain this difference in feel for you.
