“My main consideration these days is for a comfortable shoe. I have only worn these around the house so far, but they seem great. I have size 8 feet, but they are wide at the front and quite narrow from the instep back. The length on Shieling is very good and the toe-caps are fairly round so they don't pull my toes across. The lacing makes it possible to pull the shoe tight to prevent slipping. The heel height is spot-on. My only disappointment is that there is no patterning on the black version. The red and blue pair are so pretty, but subtle. The same patterning in grey would have made the black shoes more feminine (they look a bit like my husband's business shoes apart from the heel!) - but comfort has won and I am very happy with my purchase.”

“Bought these shoes to replace shoes I left abroad by accident! The look great with trousers and skirts when wearing thick tights and are very comfortable. I normally struggle to get comfortable shoes for my size 8 feet but these are generous in their sizing and if you did half sizes I could probably drop 1/2 size to a 7 1/2. Only thing is it says you send cotton laces as well as the ribbon laces and there were no extra laces in the box but that's not a huge problem. Also the black shoes do not have the pattern on them - which for me was good news as I prefer without.”
“These shoes are great; comfortable enough to wear every day, but with enough heel to make you look smart. I really like that they're a full shoe, so if the weather is wet, your feet remain dry. I have to confess that I changed the laces for a brighter ribbon, and would have loved the alternative ribbon laces to be something pretty, but overall, these are lovely shoes.”
