“Great boots, but mine need a little wearing in, probably because of my strange feet. A bit hard on the soles till I've walked them in, though they're nice and cushioned underfoot. A bit hard around the top of the heel, but just need to wear my heels in to them - fairly standard. I've broken various toes (hypermobile joints) and they're not as wide-fitting at the front as I normally go for, but I think I'll get used to them. Also, just above where your toes join the rest of your foot is where the shiny toecap joins on to the suede, so there's a slight internal ridge if you have a high instep. Wearing them around the house for a few days and for short distances out, then they will be comfortable as anything. Someone else wrote that they'd been hiking in theirs and I'm hoping these will be good for all purposes too.A lovely-looking boot and the double zips are fab so it's not hard levering in and out of the boot. I've broken both ankles in the past, so that's great. You can adjust the lacing at the front to pull the fit in more tightly or loosely as you need. Great that they come with spare laces - thanks! Darker than in the photo as people have mentioned - my husband thought I'd bought yet more black ankle boots, but I held them to the light and got away with it ;-) The packaging is all beautiful, recyclable and it arrived promptly, along with some gorgeous soft socks in the sale. “I bought the lagoon in my usual size and wore them all day , and the next ( for about 14 hours each day). I haven't worn my slippers in two days since I got them. No breaking in, no blisters and I have fairly wide feet so this is quite amazing. beautiful colour too. I've ordered other colours; well fitting supportive boots are a godsend especially when you have flat wide feet with a fairly recent broken metatarsal injury. No support= pain. I love them, and they do make me smile.”
“Lovely, comfortable boots. Couldn’t believe that I could just wear them from day 1 without having to break them in or put up with pinching/blisters. Great range of colours. I got the burgundy ones that are more like a deep purple. Love the silk lining. Will definitely buy more in the future. Only thing I didn’t like is the sole that is a slight plasticky feel.”
“I love the fact that there's a good choice of low-heeled boots on the Moshulu site - I ordered these and the Bourbon 2 boots, planning to return one pair when I decided which pair I liked best. Guess what? I kept both, as they were both so lovely, I couldn't bear to send one pair back! They're really comfortable, fit well, and if they last as long as my previous pair of Moshulu boots I'll be very well pleased.”

“Just received my Bardsey boots and they are so lovely, great quality, I have quite a wide foot so was unsure if they would be ok but seem like a good fit, I think they will get even better with wear and the leather will soften. I got them in Lagoon and they are more green than they look on the pictures on website but I still love the colour, great shoe box too !”
