“Not overly impressed with these boots. I have worn Lowa Mountain GTX boots for years for weeks and months on end. Those boots were like slippers with no foot discomfort at all. I agree the Renegade boots are comfy straight out the box and are great for short walks or bimbles over trails. Recently went backpacking carrying quite a load, these boots killed my feet. Had a blister for the first time in 15 years and my feet were seriously aching. Frustratingly, the lace repeatedly slipped out the speed hook. I'll keep these boots for short walks but won't wear these on a long trip again.”

“Previously owned many pairs of Lowa Mountain GTX boots over several years, these were just like slippers even wearing them for weeks on end they kept my feet dry and blister free. The Renegade GTX were my latest purchase. Fully agree with the other comments, straight out the box and a comfy fit. In my opinion though I've found for short walks they are fine but recently went 6 days back packing and had nothing but foot problems. Had sore uncomfortable feet and even a blister, something I've not had for many years. The lace kept slipping out the speed loop... that was driving me insane. I'm a bit disappointed with these boots overall, I normally really like Lowa's.”
