“I’ve purchased several Lowa shoes and have Ben pleased to give them glowing reviews.
The Renegade is the most expensive but I’ve been a bit disappointed.
The lacing has two metal hook eyes at the ankle ( akin to a walking boot)and it is difficult to tighten the laces and to avoid the lacing slipping whilst walking.
I have a narrow foot and in fairness if you have a bigger ankle/ normally take a wider fitting this might not be a problem.
However in my opinion the shoe would be improved by a higher round eyelet instead of the hook arrangement.
As I say a bit disappointed ,but I’d still shop Lowa in the future albeit I’d side step the Renegade.”
