“Kiln dried Ash, perhaps: logs seasoned first - No. Hence, logs still burn with some sooting-up and residue on log-burner glazing, due to latent water content. Some logs quite thick, so though kiln dried, the centre of the log retains moisture, which may have been avoided by seasoning first. They do not burn as 'hot' as expected, either.”
