Didn’t work at all for me. Felt sticky on my skin and gave me a terrible rush that took hours to disappear. I wanted this to work so I could save some money as this is much cheaper than my usual SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic serum but I guess it just wasn’t meant to be... Customer service is great though, I got a full refund after writing of my bad experience with this product.

Sorry to hear Mrs K. Ours is a little stronger than the SkinCeuticals one and is PEG-free so it has a slightly different texture. Jamie

NEW V OLD FORMULA I loved this serum. It was light and not greasy at all with a lovely fragrance. I used it in the morning and the Vit C 30% at night as it was thicker and greaser. Imagine my dismay when opening my recent order from November to find my beloved 20% serum was entirely different. In its place was a clear, thick, unperfumed, greasy serum, much like the 30%. I contacted Face Theory who said yes the formula had changed (why change something that was brilliant?) but they refunded me my purchase price immediately! Now I have to try and find a Vit C serum that was as good as the original 20%. Very disappointed.

Hi Margaret Sorry to hear this. The formula was changed about six months ago - the reason being that removing the water from the formula eliminates the possibility of oxidation and increases the effectiveness of the vitamin c. The previous formula didn't have a fragrance but it did have a botanical smell from a couple of other ingredients in it. There is no oil in the new formula but there is a humectant called propanediol which acts as a solvent. You only need to apply a tiny amount. Thanks again for your feedback. Jamie

I had the old formula and I didn't like it at all. Don't get me wrong, it worked! It reduced my acne and acne scarring but it had the texture of pva glue. I saw that they had changed the formula, and because I love Facetheory (I have many of their products, and I love their potency, formulations, and recyclable packaging) I thought I would give it a try again. The serum is clear and I tried it on the back of my hand first. It felt like a thick oil and when I rubbed it in it left a slight sticky sheen. As an acne sufferer with combination skin I'm a little worried about anything with an oily texture but within a few minutes it soaked in, and there was no stickiness or shine to my skin. I apply only 3 drops to my entire face, and then my face cream (Facetheory's ...) and makeup over the top and I've never had any problems with it. It reduces my acne and acne scars like the old formula but feels so much better on the skin once it soaks in, and it seems to be stronger than the old formula as I'm noticing differences in my skin faster. I highly recommend for the price and potency!
