I am a Black woman who has struggled with hyperpigmentation for years and this product is literally a gem when it comes to preventing and healing previous hyperpigmentation. For me the star ingredients are the Tranexamic Acid and Liqourice. I also use it on my chest and again its been so helpful as other TXA products on the market made my skin burn or get really warm and irritated. I do use it with a Kojic Acid and Alpha Arbutin serum as well and with sunscreen it's a gold mine for hyperpigmentation. It's an absolute essential for my skin!

This serum really worked around my lips area to lighten the hyperpigmentation. I took around 3 months of use with Alpha Arbutin and the results are amazing... Thank you so much face theory.

Skin type: normal/balanced. Hyperpigmented, prone to melasma. This really worked to clear up my melasma and get rid of those "blotchy" patches. However, it does not affect my sunspots at all. If hormones caused your pigmentation, I think this will work to clear it completely. If, like me, you have pigmentation caused by a combo, you will probably need this and something else.

I'm not sure that this product has done me any good. I took out T4, S7 and S4 from my routine with the hope that I could substitute with this one. To be honest I'm not sure how it's doing with the scars I had prior to using it, but it's taken away one year progress from my face. I've had it for about six weeks and my face has consistently purged for that time (I'm having 3 times worse an outbreak that I'd expect when I use differin, only that with differin, it stops after a few uses), and now I have a face full of pimples and new blemishes
