This serum is seriously good! It seems to have lightened my melasma in just 2 weeks. I use it prior to applying Regenacalm serum PRO! I have a history of rosacea , but these two have not given me any problems regarding irritation at all. So far so good! I have to say , after turning 5;, my melasma showed up on my cheeks in just a week ! I panicked and had spent a lot on skincare to treat it! Non worked ! Facetheory will be my last stop! Very pleased! I am of Asian background and Asian women are prone to ,pigmentation - too much melanin !

I use this in the morning to help keep melasma away and for the antioxidants. It’s not irritating, gentle and it brightens. If you have melasma, this product can help a little bit to remove the hyperpigmentation, but you’ll need other actives to treat it as well.

This is by far my favourite facetheory serum to date. It actually makes you glow. I’ve got really oily problematic skin so most products are just making me shine but this is a lovely natural glow so very happy.

Goes onto the skin well fast absorption. Too early to tell if it's working but love how it sinks into my skin.

Lovely consistency in my opinion. Really easy to use and plays well with other skincare. Skin definitely feels great the next day. I have not used it long enough to notice change in pigmentation but I am very hopeful.

EXTRAGLOW - MELASMA IN MEN REVIEW I have used this serum to successfully treat post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) on my shoulders last year and when the doctor said the new patches on my forehead was melasma (affects 10% of men), I reordered this tranexamic acid serum. I have epidermal (top layer) melasma and the trigger for me was sauna/steam room and hair dryer after gym; as opposed to hormonal changes which is the trigger for most women. UVA, UVB and heat are all triggers for melanin production. I have been using this serum AM + Azelaic Acid 20% (prescription strength) with a mineral sunscreen and within 5-6 weeks my melasma has lightened and the borders of the patches have started to break/return to normal skin colour. I used Azelaic Acid on some reoccurring PIH on my shoulder and the results are not as effective, so tranexamic acid is the star ingredient here(not to mention niacinamide, vit c and liquorice which are all tyronaise inhibiters). I also use Mandelic acid 10% 2 x week in the PM, which exfoliates the dead skin cells on top, allowing the excess pigment to be expelled more quickly. I am seeing results and I am assured now that within 2-3 months my melasma will clear. For those of you that are dealing with hyperpigmentation/ melasma I would recommend Extraglow and that you use a mineral sunscreen (a physical barrier with zinc/iron oxide) which reflects UV like a mirror.
