“I had high hopes for this foundation I have combination skin unfortunately the foundation does not blend and set on my face at all it’s uneven plenty of patches and very cakey structure. I tried it it with moisturiser and their primer, then without the moisturises and just primer and then with just primer and no moisturiser. I used my finger tips, beauty blenders and a brush nothing makes any difference.”

Use a stiff, flat foundation brush for application, avoiding using your fingers, which can add excess oil. Consider using two different primers - one mattifying for the T-zone and one illuminating for drier areas. Set the T-zone with a translucent powder, but avoid over-powdering drier areas, which can enhance dryness. “This definitely had a learning curve to make it work. If you're used to using silicone based foundation you will probably need to experiment a bit. It goes on well on top of Facetheory moisturizers, but if you have anything high on silicones underneath it just slides into every crevice on the skin. It might also get stuck on dry patches unless you hydrate and prep your skin thoroughly. A little goes a long way, if you put even slightly too much it's gonna look horrible. But when it works it's amazing! I put a pea sized amount on the back of my hand and then tap just a little bit on a brush (rounded, short haired and dense bristles have worked the best) and then buff it section by section on my face. When it dries down, that's it. It doesn't spread that easily when it sets so you gotta work fast. All in all, don't be discouraged if it doesn't work for you immediately. Experiment a bit before returning or binning it.”
