I'm sorry to hear the lights were dull. These are part of the Fit & Forget range which is designed to run on a single set of batteries for the season (up to 72 Days), which means there is a trade-off between brightness and battery longevity. I expect that explains the difference relative to your other lights. Alternatively, if they are very dull it may be a faulty set and you are welcome to return them to us to look at.
Ideally, for maximum brightness, use plug-in lights. The battery ones do tend to be less bright.
