“The first Geopress I received leaked around the outer seal soaking the floor (but not contaminating the purified water). Grayl UK customer service shipped me a replacement the next day! Although there was probably nothing wrong with it as the next day US support said cleaning the shipping grease of the seal and washing the plastic parts should have fixed it.
The replacement Gropress was easy to use and after 10 days of use in India still only takes about 10s to press. With no flooded floor, if filled to below the fill line.
It was used to purify tap water in India (straight from the tap or "purified" by the hotel). Alas I did get mild Delhi Belly but this is a massive improvement on previous trips and I think came from a luke warm buffet the night before.
It was great not to need to buy bottled water and saved lots of plastic from being wasted. It was also a great conversation starter as lots of people were curious about it.
I will definitely be using it next time I travel.”
