“Hotel had a lot of character and room was lovely. No heater the first night, so was pretty cold, nobody on reception to report this. Evening meal was a very limited menu, and average. Same menu both nights. Breakfast was the best this hotel had to offer by far, amazing food, much nicer staff. There are lots of supplements on the menu, which made it feel a bit like a budget airline. Marco being my favourite chef, this made me a little sad as my expectations were pretty high.”

“i am disgusted with this hotel. A booking was made in total error through Wowcher. i contacted the hotel numerous times by email and had absolutely no reply. If we could have remade a booking for another time would have been ok with us but no one replied to our numerous emails. What bad manners, bad business and inconsiderate staff. The booking was made without us realising. We have a poor internet connection here in the countryside and we didn’t realise the booking had gone through until the money had been taken out of the bank. Shocking no one came back to us which says a lot for the type of hotel the Rudloe Arms. We are very angry and upset. John Orgee”

“Excellent value for money. A fabulous and unique hotel which was completely in keeping with the style of its celebrated owner, Marco-Pierre White. The decor is big, adult, and beautiful in nature but may not be appreciated by children or vegans/vegetarians(!). But I loved it! I highly recommend staying just for a totally different experience; there’s an array of lounges, stunning ‘one-off’ bedrooms, helpful staff throughout including the cheery chambermaids. The location was wonderful….at the bottom of the drive was the bus straight into Bath city centre. Last, but definitely not least, the food and drink was sublime! We’ll be returning asap.”

“Stayed Christmas Eve and Day. You would think that a gorgeous place, this is, would be full. This wasnt the case. When asking for a heater, we were told that the heating comes on at 6pm and to come back if we were still cold. We were advised that due to health & Safety reasons, heaters arent given out. We could only get warm, by staying under the covers. As for health and safety reasons, the long gravel path, leading up to the house, from the Treetops accomadation, isnt lit at all. The limited amount of staff are very pleasant, but there isnt enough of them. Stood at the bar, and waited 20 minutes to get a drink as no-one around. Could be such a gold mine if a few things were tweeked”

“The stay did not happen! Witchery sold me 30 December 2024, upin contacting the hotel 2 days before stay they advised we were not booking in and never did have that availability. I am still chasing some assistance from Wowcher and the Rudloe Arms for my money back. There is zero customer service. Hitting my head off a brick wall. It's appalling. Will not use wowcher again, nor ever use the Rudloe arms, their reception team could not help, their head office are blanking my emails.”

“Lovely location and hotel. We did find the hotel under staffed especially in the evening which lead to spending a good 30 mins waiting to be served a drink and we were the only ones waiting.”

“We enjoyed our stay in this very quirky place. Staff were attentive and polite. However there were many add on charges to be aware of & costs for alcohol was ridiculously high! Cover charges for each person per meal. All in all what was supposed to be a cheaper break turned into quite an expensive one! It’s a shame really as it is a great place to visit.”
