My older Weber Classic has served me well for about 14 years dutifully making at least 3 bbqs per week, so it had hard but fulfilling life. When it came to replacing it, it had to be with something special. The 70th Anniversary Edition. I loved the badging on the lid, just fab. It is the same size, so all the gadgets fit that I had bought all fit! A nice new feature is the P shaped ventilation holes and it gives a much more controllable smoke. The nice wooden look on the handles makes it look rather nice too! It was not hard to put together, and all the parts were in the box.(Surprisingly, I had none left over!) The excellent robust coal baskets are just the business in getting things done. The colour of the the new Weber goes fabulous with my garden room. The first cook: The first cook was some premium ribeye steaks and sausages. I really wanted to try our the smoking bit with the sausages before cranking things up to super hot for the steaks. It performed beautifully. The second cook: This was premium fillet steak cut into pieces for skewers. The main aim was to try my Russian Skewers, because they reach all the way across the 57cm bowl so you can move them wherever you want. For this, the list was in the open position in the very handy lid rest. The third cook: This is a slow smoke with pork for pulled pork. 4 hours in and the Weber is singing like an angel, no heat or smoke issues, just brilliant. Oh the handy tool hangers are perfect for the long cooks. So 3 cooks in 5 days.. not bad! To say I am very happy with this is an understatement. Thank you from WOWBBQ for getting it here quickly and undamaged.

Fantastic BBQ. I bought on a deal so do not feel the extras justify the price difference from the 57cm rapid touch GBS model. However, the colour is lovely and the wheels are a nice touch. As is the free bottle opener.

I recently did a very good 1 day BBQ course and cooked on both a Webber and a Commodo BBQ. I went with on the course thinking I would buy a Commodo Egg but the cook results were superior on the Webber so went for that instead
