“This is an extremely well made tool as one would expect from Wolf. Over the years I've had various hand held seed sowers (at least one of which was a freebie on the cover of a gardening magazine). These were a slight improvement over hand sowing but hardly sped up the process. So far I have sown 21 meters of carrots with the Wolf tool. I was in a hurry to get the job done before it rained so didn't fiddle about perfecting the seed rate. It will sow at the rate you walk. I felt it was sowing a bit thickly but I didn't stop to fiddle with the settings because apart from everything else I'd had relatively poor germination rate with previous sowings so was happy to sow thickly. I recommend this tool but you do need to spend time getting to know it & fiddling with the settings. Once you've worked out the exact setting for the particular seed you're sowing, the combination of the economies of sowing just the right amount of seed and the speed at which you can sow will be well worth it.”
