“I have small hands and a combination of classic gardeners RSI problems including trigger fingers, and carpal and cubital tunnel. After misplacing my old set in a border (I'll get them back as they're good back ups), it gave me the kick at the right time in the season, when work is busy and my hands battered, to purchase them. The rotating hand feels funny at first but much less so than on the Model 7 which were far too large for me. I still haven't worked out if I'm using them "wrong" as I like to have the blade closest to the node I'm pruning to and often end up switching the snips over and that means its sometimes my thumb using the rotating handle, sometimes my fingers. But hopefully this will still relieve more pressure than my old chunky pair. I'd rather the blade was stainless not carbon steel: my old stainless set when they emerge from the border will be free of rust, and as I like to use white vinegar to sterilise and then have to oil carefully if I do this or buy an alternative organic steriliser on a carbon steel blade. But the blade is sharper, servicable and replaceable. I hope these are my set for life. I think if I'd had them when I started gardening I perhaps wouldn't have developed the painful and debilitating conditions I have, so my advice would be - prevention is better than cure, and using the right tool not just for the job but for your body is always safest - so try or buy even if you don't think you need the extra ergonomic features.”
“I'm delighted with the Felco model 12. I've had hand and wrist problems that have stopped me from gardening for many months, but I don't have to exert too much pressure with these, so I'm able to do some gardening again. Really sharp too.”
“Great size for a smaller hand. Bought as a gift for a friend who has arthritis. I’ve had a pair for about 15 yrs and the quality is excellent would t buy any other make.”
