Really fast, looks great, purchased for my son who is 8 but also enjoyed by me, so much so that I may get another to race against him! Not hard to build but I did have a problem setting up the ESC. Got there in the end. Brilliant fun!

The model arrived as described and works well. From a practical point of view my son & I built this together and that was a great experience, however as an entry level model the component parts are not designed for the number of crashes brought about from his inexperience and thus we have replaced quite a number of structural elements already. Overall, we got what was advertised and I would definitely recommend Wonderland Models.

Firstly, the service and contact with Wonderland Models was first class. They helped me decide which model to buy (plus extras) before placing an order. Delivery was amazingly fast and well packaged. The car itself is great - it comes in kit form and it took me about 5 hours to complete (my first ever car build). Upon opening the box everything can look quite daunting but I took my time and things became clear. Couple of tips; 1) The instructions suggest you connect all the electronics together to test them prior to building the whole car - this is sensible but its nearly impossible to disconnect the motor after testing which makes installation in to the car tricky. After a long time trying (and some sore thumbs later) I managed to disconnect the motor from the speed controller to feed the cables through the chassis correctly. 2) There are LOADS of pieces that you simply don't need. I think Tamiya must use the same "kit" for different models so there are many parts that are not required for the Rising Fighter. 3) The instructions say that double sided tape is needed for sticking down some of the electronics. I couldn't find the tape in the box so I used some glue instead. I think the ideal thing to use would probably be Velcro. 4) I couldn't figure out which colour cable connected from the ESC to the motor - in the end I guessed with yellow to yellow and Blue to green and it seems to work fine. 5) After completion the controls were backwards - Turning right went left and pressing forward made the car reverse. DONT PANIC. There is a simple setting on the hand controller to simply reverse this and you don't need to change anything on the car. 6) I have had to set the trim way back on the throttle to stop the car moving forwards on its own. With the steering I have been able to set up the trim perfectly but I am a little confused as to why I have to set the accelerator trim so far back?
