“The car is as good as the original, but brought up to speed with modern electronic's. The control of the car is as "interesting" as it ever was and is best suited to a loose surface where car movement can become predictive with practice. However, if you want an easy to run car for a younger, less patient user, find a 4wd alternative. There are plenty to choose from in the site. The controller is of a good standard and generally the build is excellent. The only thing that let's it down for me is the charger, which doesn't have an automated cut off. Having previously had issues with these, I "recycled" the one supplied and found another on the net with a cut off. It would have been a £10 extra that would have been worth it and in line with the quality product that this is. Great service from wonderlandmodels, I will be using them in the future.”

“Short review: Buy this! Normal review: I was looking at Tamiya RC cars as I used to race a Grasshopper 27 years ago. I always wanted the Hornet and when I saw this deal, the savings were too good to pass up. The kit comes with the tools needed to assemble (didn't see this mentioned anywhere) and I bought a spare set to be on the safe side. The kit has a battery, handset and the complete servo package needed. For people like me that have been away from the scene for 25 years, it's worth noting that this 2.4ghz package doesn't require crystals, so this package is another saving in that regard. The handset as per the image is one I wanted as a kid, but sadly I'm going to have to buy a standard handset as I just can't get on with the way you control it using the wheel and trigger. Also, the car is completely built and shell pre-painted, leaving nothing for you to do other than charge the battery and insert the x4 AA batteries (sold separately) in the handset. As for payment and delivery, both were extremely smooth and I had the car within two days. It was only two days as I ordered late evening, so this was extremely fast. I'd definitely recommend this company and RC car to anyone.”

“Well i remember building this car years ago as a gift for a mate, and after building it for him wanted to get one myself. Now someone in my family gave me a gift the Pro Built Hornet made by a expert and ready to run from the box. This Hornet bring back memories, and it runs well, i do not think i have stopped playing with it, plus our dog loves chasing it as i speed off over rough terrain. This is a must buy for those who remember the good old days, whether you buy and build it yourself or you get it ready built and ready to run from the box, its GRRrrreat.”

“I always wanted one of these when they were first released as a kit - now I can buy one for my niece ready built - great build quailty, great fun - excellent service from Wonderland Models, although my experience of their payment card processor is that my debit card is always refused resulting in an email bordering on rude, but a credit card always accepted - frustrating but the wide product range readily available keeps me coming back”
