The Revell Star Trek USS Enterprise NCC-1701 Into Darkness Model Kit in 1/500 scale from the plastic Star Trek models range accurately recreates the starship from the Star Trek Into Darkness 2013 science fiction movie. The completed model measures 58.8 cm long.
This plastic model kit requires paint and glue to complete. Revell Colours Required: 5, 47, 55, 56, 76, 99, 301, 302, 371, 752.
In 2009 the 11th Star Trek Movie arrived in cinemas. So much from the past has changed in the course of its journey through time that a new time-line has been created, and thus events from films from the 60's and later are no longer relevant. The new film called "Into Darkness" continues the plot from the 11th film. The main protagonists in the film, which is set around the year 2255 are, as usual, the young James T. Kirk and Mr Spock. Supporting characters, especially Uhura and Chekov, play a much larger part in this film. Model Features:
Newly developed construction kit Large scale, two-piece Saucer Section Separate command bridge Multi-part deflector and sensor Large-scale, two-piece secondary hull Multi-part nacelles with separate pylons Many transparent parts, including Bussard collectors and navigation lights Display stand Kit suitable for the addition of lighting (equipment not included) Detailed instructions with tips for painting Extensive set of decals for the Enterprise
Manufacturer: Revell Model: 04882 Star Trek USS Enterprise NCC-1701 Into Darkness Model Kit Scale: 1/500

Sci-Fi Modellers will know that the “Scale” of any given fictional (e.g. a Starship) Kit gives no immediate indication of the actual size of the finished Article, because there was never a full-sized original upon the Kit was based, and with which it could be compared and visualised. Therefore, it’s great that Revell provided the actual dimensions of the completed Kit so that you know what you’re getting. This beauty is (touted as) 588mm long, or just short of 2ft., which I consider to be quite a healthy size for a display Model really.

Excellent model, however, be warned - There are no Aztec decals for this model, all panels need to be hand painted in multiple colours to produce the correct effect.

Live in the US, and had my order 5 days after paying. Terrific follow up by wonderland, purchase with confidence. The kit is pretty good, it needs a bit of accurizing but it goes together very well. Do NOT test mount your saucer to the main hull completely, or you'll end up breaking some tabs to seerate it. Otherwise have fun!

This kit is amazing in my opinion... I purchased from per order and had no idea what to expect as there were no reviews.... It is larger than my other 6 kits but I really like it.... The instructions make it to an accurate version seen on screen in the film... Some of the decals were a pain, but then I'm a novice still so they are usually hard for me.. I'd recommend this kit

Great to see the latest version of the Enterprise modelled on a similar scale to the AMT/ERTL Enterprise-A of my youth. However, whereas the weaknesses of that kit have been pretty well documented, I can say that Revell's kit is of much higher quality. Sure, for purists there are a few inaccuracies and things like the impulse engines should have come as clear parts (which this kit has in ample numbers), but fit is supremely better and I have no concerns about having to strengthen the neck/pylon areas as you would on the Enterprise-A AMT/ERTL kit. There is plenty of room for lighting, lots of decals and detailed panel painting instructions, all of which is going to make this a long-term project for me. And I quick mention of Wonderland's service which blew my socks off after a failed-then-cancelled order from an Amazon dealer, making Wonderland my new go-to place for my future kits. Great pricing too!

Product was better than expected. Seller provided excellent delivery and communication. Packing was done well enough to withstand obvious rough handling by postal services (US and abroad). Item was not damaged. Very happy with transaction, and purchase.
