“Wanted a camera to replace Sony W800, which was ideal, but unreliable. Had a Kodak years ago, and it was very good, so here I am again! Does almost everything the Sony does (it had 20M pixels maximum setting, while this has only 16M, but frankly I think the quality is better, and this allows you to choose compression rates, which Sony didn't) but also amazed to find that, in addition to 5x optical zoom, it has 25x digital TOO. It might not allow paperazzi type shots from half a mile away, but actually, it is surprizing good. Ticks all my other boxes, so if it can outlast the last camera, I'll be happy. Menu driven settings are bit over-complex but it has a lot packed in.”
