ProMaster Unplugged m600 2 Light Travel Kit
The Promaster Unplugged m600 Monolight is a high-powered, wireless strobe that gives you the freedom to light a subject from just about anywhere. A wireless transmitter is included, so you camera can fire the lights' built in receivers up to 300' away on one of 16 channels. The m600's controls are straightforward and reliable. Turn the audible alarm and LED modeling light on or off depending on your surroundings and needs.
This 2 light kit includes everything you need to start creating beautiful lighting setups. Just add a camera! It can be expanded with a variety of light modifiers and shapers by connecting to the ProMaster-S mount on each light (Bowens-S compatible). You can also add additional mReceivers (product 6719) to include other types of strobe lights and speedlights in your system. I've given it a 4* as there isn't a 4 and a half. Most things about the kit are very good, the heads themselves have a bit of weight, which may be to do with the sturdy materials and of course unlike a mains unit the weight of the battery is included. The completeness of the kit is excellent, the case alone might cost £100 from some suppliers, with stands, reflectors transmitter all included one is "ready to go" straight away. The light from them is consistent and the recycle time is good.

First off the units metal cased and quite sturdy, come in a very good roller bag with two sturdy tripods, reflectors and trigger. The units are Manual as opposed to TTL, this means that the output power is adjusted manually, 1/1 to 1/32 6-stops. on individual units using the outout knob. I found it simple to set up (using Light meter), individual units set on channel 1 and 2, selecting each accordingly on the transmitter during set up and then setting the trigger to "fire all" when using them. Typical recycle time Approx 1sec-ish at o/p 1/8 or so. I think I told these are 300 W/S which is fine for me and am looking forward to using them, I am an amateur photographer so found these units very well priced for the freedom and oportunity to work outside they offer.

Nice bit of kit for the cost. The control could be a bit more refined and the is no soft box supplied but as a first set there a good addition to your kit especially for outdoor use.

I'll be honest, i've had these for a couple of weeks and haven't had opportunity to use them properly yet. However I have set them up, charged them and taken a few test shots. Initial impressions were very good. The lights feel very solid and are easy to adust and work with, the battery is easy to swap in and out. The modelling light is a useful touch as is the handle built into the top of each light. The handle allows the lights to be hand held for even more versatility. The Light Stands are HUGE and feel very solid, certainly the most solid stands i've ever owned. The modifiers for the lights are good too and also feel a solid piece of kit. On top of all that it all comes in its own storage/travel case, this too is another piece of quality kit. Again, like the stands it's solid and the two wheels on the bottom make it easier to wheel around in a similar way that you'd wheel a suitcase. The case has solid straps inside and outside to keep everything secure and the top handle is also in keeping with the quality feel of the entire system. Another plus point is that the lights accept Bowens S mount type modifiers so that opens up a whole range of softboxes, beauty dishes and other modifiers. Going back to the case for the system, it's big!! My first impression of it was "Where am I going to keep it?"
