See the difference
Six dye-based inks offer enhanced photo print quality, and the addition of red and grey inks increases colour vibrancy and contrast, and ensures no colour shift regardless of what photo media you’re using.
Pump up the volume
High-volume ink tanks enable incredibly high page yields – one set of bottles can print around 3,800 4x6 photo prints, meaning fewer bottle refills.
Designed for simplicity
Front-facing ink tanks make it easy to monitor ink levels, non-squeeze ink bottles and key-type nozzles make refills hassle-free, and the 2 Line LCD is easy to navigate.
Do-it-yourself maintenance
With a user-replaceable print head and maintenance tank you’ll experience minimal downtime, and the Auto Power On/Off function will contribute to energy saving.
WiFi connectivity
Print from your phone or tablet using the Canon PRINT App, Mopria or AirPrint, or use WiFi to connect to your PC, laptop or Canon WiFi-enabled camera.

Very pleased with the printer and the speedy delivery service. We had never shopped at Wilkinsons before. They actually had the printer in stock, which even Canon didn’t, and they provided excellent service. We knew it would be relatively slow to print, but its not slow enough to be of any bother. We aren’t in a rush to print. We chose it for it’s great balance for economy of ink and extra ink colour for better photos. So we’re well pleased with our purchase and with the Company selling it.

I received it but connecting it to the iMac was a nightmare and I still have doubts what problems I'll have to face to connect everytime I use the printer.

This is a quality printer for photographs and it has ink tanks. The results are stunning and look forward to a future when my life is not dominated by the constant need to replace cartridges!

The O.S system by Microsoft recently changed from windows 10 to 11. I, by email, checked with Canon about the adequacy of my old printer to make this change and was advised that there could be problems. The Drivers may not be suitable and they were not intending to update these as some component functional parts may not work in my old printer with 11. Hence my change to G650, a more recent Canon product release, as I had already changed to 11. The 'in the box' easy startup disc of the G650 updated the drivers to windows 10 for the printer which I did not know had happened. Before ordering this printer I had already ascertained that Canon had new drivers available on their website for download for the G650 for Windows 11. The easy startup disc did not change to 11 automatically when used. I thought this would read my computer O.S. system and download the appropriate Canon driver. Hence the printer did not work. It took a considerable time to get out of this problem. Windows 11 blocked every move I made at first and kept stating that the system was not suitable, even when I updated manually the drivers from the Canon site to 11. Windows 11 is still new to me, as with most people, I believe. The Windows 11 onscreen note stated that it did not accept the system as it was in breach of their security! I guess they were referring to the printer and the drivers as these were the only new things I had added. l then stumbled upon by accident, in my search for an answer, a part of the new Windows 11 program that checks programs, apps, drivers for windows verification. I have still not yet found its program location again, but hope that I will in time! I clicked on driver verification for printers, the system then went into checking verification. After a very short period, a statement came up 'verified' and asked if I wanted the download of the driver completed. I was not aware it had ever been stopped. The Canon program put a note on the screen that the driver had been downloaded and installed satisfactorilly. After answering Yes to the Windows query and nearly 24 hours after first starting to load up the printer, it at long last burst into life! Some of the so-called help apps provided by Canon I assume with their Windows 11 driver download do not work properly. I suspect they are just bloatware originally derived for WIndows 10 but not updated for 11. This concerns mainly the scanner operation. I can live with this however as I have overcome any problems for my personal use by using the direct scanner operation system that I have used previously. I am very disappointed with Canon this time. Windows were very slow coming forward with their final Windows 11 O.S. which I am sure has had a knock-on effect with manufacturers. This seems to be a valid excuse for Canon as long as for others the problems get sorted. For, me I will just get on with it and enjoy my photograph involved hobby.

Have had many Canon printers over the years, and currently have a Pixma pro-10s for prints up to A3+. In the past, I've used non-Canon inks for other printers but concerned about the use of these in terms of longevity of prints and ruining the print heads. Canon inks are uber expensive, and ink is wasted every time you clean or even replace individual tanks. When one cartridge is replaced, it charges all cartridges. I was looking for something for everyday printing which cut the cost of the makers' ink and this fits the bill perfectly. Very easy to set up, and the quality of photo print is astonishing. Six inks is the reason for this, and hard-pressed to tell the difference between the prints from this and my printer costing almost three times as much. Hard to call it everyday printing when the quality is this good. Deducted one start on the ease of use, as if you want to do duplex printing, you have to do this manually, but a small price to pay for the quality of print and the flexibility and economy of the ink tanks. Highly recommended.
