Ultra-compact and tidy
The V39's power and connectivity is handled via a single Micro USB to reduce cable clutter and keep your workspace tidy. The device also has a built-in stand for flexible scanning to suit your desk space.
Fast, high-quality results
Thanks to Epson's ReadyScan LED Technology, you can start scanning instantly - no warm-up time is required. Make sure that even your old photos look their best with Epson Easy Photo Fix software, which improves the quality of your scans by removing dust, restoring faded colours and correcting backlight. Even your scanned documents will look great as the V39 comes with a range of enhancement features, enabling you to improve text sharpness and remove unwanted 'bleed-through' from double-sided documents.
Convenient
To make scanning quick and easy, the V39 has four one-touch buttons so you can scan, copy, share and turn your photos and documents into multi-page searchable PDFs at the push of a button. For added versatility, a fully-detachable lid makes scanning of thick books, photo albums and other bound items possible. Thanks to clever software the V39 can even handle larger photos and documents - simply scan the large item in A4 sections and then seamlessly join the sections back together to create the whole image. Scan directly to cloud storage services such as SugarSync and Evernote and easily share your photos with family and friends by scanning straight to Facebook and Picasa.

It's the scanner I was recommended mainly used for scanning photographs into Photoshop no problems Would have been happier if I hadn't had mail 2days later telling me I could have bought it £10 cheaper

I was looking for a scanner that would not break the bank and take up less space in my office than the outgoing Epson multifunction printer that no longer printed. This fits the bill perfectly - it will mostly be used for business documents but I wanted the scope to scan other stuff like photographic prints as well. It is USB-powered, which I have not tried before but at least it saves having something else to plug into the sockets and it makes it easy to just attach it to the PC on demand. Image quality is fine, resolution is more than enough for my needs and I like the fact that the lid can be removed for scanning big or thick items. My only disappointment is that it seems quite slow, but maybe that is either user error or to be expected given that it's USB-powered. Also I haven't got my head around the supplied software but I use a third party scanning software for preference so I'm not overly bothered. In summary, Epson quality, fits my needs and so far all is fine!

Have a mass of photos to scan, mostly 6x4 prints. This will scan two at a time and will auto crop them. It is lightweight and just runs off a USB cable. Quality is pretty good although running it on max resolution is tricky as it wont let you scan them larger than 1024x680 on 2400dpi. Quality on the lower resolutions is resonable. Overall a good product for the price.
