Great printer - I had the 960. Works well and prints A3 which is what I needed it for. does get through ink very quickly which is why it is marked down slightly but otherwise a great little printer for the price.

I had an XP960 for four years during which it printed well over one thousand photographs up to A3 without an issue - plus hundreds of documents - ink use very low - then it went badly wrong - so I bought its replacement the XP970 which is very similar and so far works perfectly - very easy to install the software.

I really like this printer. The main reason I bought it was because it will print A3 documents. At first I was a bit unsure about using it but I have found the screen display is very helpful. I'm very happy with all the documents that I have printed with it, including colour ones and although I haven't printed any photogaphs yet I feel sure that I won't be disappointed when I do. I would just like to say that some users might consider it to be more suitable for use in a desktop situation. Mine is sited on a sliding shelf below the keyboard pull out shelf. This means that I have to move back slightly to make room for the delivery tray. It's not really a problem for me to do that but it's something to consider. In spite of this, I am still very pleased with this printer and don't regret choosing it. Because the XP-970 is on a sliding shelf - I'm able to insert A3 sheets from the back. When my last printer 'died', my cousin suggested looking at Epson as he has been very happy with the model he had and, having used it for a few weeks - I'm very pleased I took his advice.
