“Printer produces excellent results and was easy enough to set up. The only downside that I can see is the cost of replacement inks£100 for a set of OEM inks as opposed to around £15 for a set of compatibles. Make sure to disable updates or it will block the use of compatibles. The price from Wilkinson Cameras was very good and delivery was next day, excellent service.”

“Good price and very quick delivery. Already have the XP-970's smaller brother (XP-8600). Both were difficult to set up the scanning facility on them as the initial setup seemed to skip/drop files for the scanner. Eventually overcame the problem and printing, copying and scanning all appear to work well. The main reason for this purchase was to replace the previous PhotoSmart 1400 and keep an A3 printing facility. The 1400 was 10 years old before it finally said enough, it will be interesting to see how long the XP-970 lasts. Appears to be a bit flimsy on trays and lid, however, this is quite common nowadays on lots of products that are trying to reduce the carbon footprint and also built for a competitive price. Overall a lot of facilities, printing options (including A3 printing) and good quality printing for an affordable price. Pity the Epson inks are so expensive.”

“Really love the quality of the prints. I wanted a printer for A4 mainly, but one that would print A3 size when needed. Perfect for working from home as a Cad Technician. Only downside was getting it to set up on work computer, but home computer was straight forward.”
