“Just received from Wilkinsons the Zeiss Terra 10x42 binos for my 70th birthday present to myself! Everything to do with order and delivery was excellent. I am not familiar with binos in the circa £400 range so value for money I can't comment on - Zeiss was my chosen brand having used their surveying equipment in past years; their 'alpha' equipment out of my league! But the technical spec is still cutting edge. The Terra 10x42 are small in size, compact and a nice holding weight. The rubber armouring is solid and comfortable; I didn't want 'thumb recesses' as they might be in the wrong place for me and hence annoying! The image is bright and clear with only the very faintest chromatic aberration, if it was there at all?? The 'sweet spot' is large and the depth of field is excellent. Focussing I found easy, using both index fingers. My pupil width is 60mm and the focussing nob very slightly touched the side of the barrel. I also wear glasses and could see the whole image circle, but stray light was evident outside the eyepiece though not a problem. There are likely to be times when I use the Terras without glasses, and that will be fine. The case is good and strong, well capable of safely holding the Terras. For me, with an pupil width of 60mm, the neck strap fitted snugly in the case along the left side of the Terras and easily zipped up. Looking forward to many, many years of use - as another reviewer said, "binoculars are 100% mechanical, they never date like 'puters, phones, cameras etc." So, for me, they are a great choice and I am really chuffed!!”

“Purchased these as a Christmas present for my wife and they have been a big hit. Having managed to get a then off her to try them briefly I was also very impressed. The are very easy to use and nice and light. Would highly recommend these to anyone after a small compact pair of binoculars. Great piece of kit.”
