“My first batch of Millionaire since the takeover by Curious Brewery was bound to disappoint because the original, with a perfect balance of sweetness and flavours coupled with a wonderful mouth feel, was just too good. To start with when the tin was cracked open the beer immediately foamed out all over the table. On tasting it was too sweet, lacked the balance of flavours, and lacked the mouth feel. However I kept some tins for a few months and the flavour and feel did improve over time, which offered hope, so I bought another batch. This second batch is much improved. It is no longer over gassy nor over sweet, and the flavours and feel are coming through. Again, keeping it a few weeks seems to improve the experience, which makes me wonder if it's being put in the tins too soon. It's still not yet as good as the original Millionaire, but so close that I'll soon get a third batch.”
