My partner is a fitness fanatic, in fact he broke his foot running, the scooter we hired enabled him to have the freedom and independence which crutches did not give him . He also felt that using the scooter maintained a low level of fitness without going stir crazy not being able to run.

A great piece of equipment. Changed a traumatic experience into something I could cope with. It made all the difference to my independence and wouldn't hesitate in recommending this to anyone, in fact I did at the fracture clinic. A real life-changer! Enables independent movement, you can even put a little bag across the handlebars to carry all your stuff about. Brilliant, brilliant thing.

I found the knee scooter online following an operation on my ankle which left me in a knee-high plaster cast, as I couldn't safely use crutches. The knee scooter gave me my freedom & boosted my self-confidence in getting around (even in the house) no end. Using the knee scooter meant I could easily get into restaurants from the car park, for example (& it certainly turned people's heads!). I would highly recommend the knee scooter to anyone in a knee-high cast who wants to remain mobile.

Scooter delivered as stated. Partner assembled it (he didn't moan so it must have been easy). Could not have managed without it, as I really didn't feel safe on crutches. My partner's house (where I was staying while recuperating) is not a big house and there were a lot of three point turns needed but it was brilliant. Put a cushion on the seat to help the kneeling and when I had to wear a boot for the last couple of weeks, made a pad to go between the boot and my shins as was a bit uncomfortable without. Didn't ever use the scooter out of the house as we had been loaned a wheelchair. Would thoroughly recommend the use of such a scooter.

Cute little thing to whizz around in safety and bring a drink with me. Comfy and easy to adjust.

The front catch to fold down the handlebar was too stiff for me to do but not needed frequently anyway. However the ‘kneeling platform’ is most uncomfortable. Speaking as a physio I’m not sure how it can safely be improved. A cushion could be dangerous as it would overlap and become wobbly. I did wonder about about an option to buy a foam backed sheepskin strapped top. Fortunately I only used it for two days to just get to toilet and back while immediately post op when shins were sore from lying prone for op. If I can be of help please contact me

Made it possible for me to operate at home after an ankle fusion operation. Felt safe and manoeuvrable. Perhaps a bit heavy — any chance of making them lighter?
