“I like the cut of these pants a lot. It's relaxed and a little funky without looking sloppy. Much of this comes from a taper that is well dialed in. The fabric is indeed quite heavy, and I would be interested in trying a lighter-weight variant.
I'm around a 35-36 true waist right now and I find the size 34 fits comfortably, with the need to cinch the draw cords if I'm going to be fairly active.
Those cords are a weak point, however, being the right length to look good hanging untied but too short to tie up easily. Feels like a corner cut to save pennies on cloth. Similarly, I like the idea of the snap closure, but the one used here feels dinky. At this price point, I would expect better hardware.
Overall, some cool-looking and comfortable pants. I got them with a discount, but without improvements l'm not sure I would buy them at full price.”
