I absolutely love my Wave Pro board. I have the 10ft which is great for my weight and height. I have used the board on tidal rivers and at sea which it handles really well. The board felt less stable than others I had tried to begin with but now I am more used to it and have adjusted my position I feel really stable and it feels like a board I can learn loads more on. The board is a great all-rounder and surfs really well. The kit with the board is great and I am pleased to see Wave now offers an electric pump as an option. I totally recommend Wave boards and would buy another if I ever needed to replace mine.

I do love my wave pro, I dropped a star for a couple of minimal reasons. Firstly, the bag is too big for the board, I know it says it it to fit in extra things like wetsuits etc. but it just makes an already large bag huge! There is also no handle on the side of the bag, only the top, but it’s too tall to be carried by that handle. Secondly, there was a bit of glue that had got on places of the board that it shouldn’t have been, not really an issue just cosmetic. Finally, I like the kayak seat attachment, but the paddle doesn’t come with a piece to make it double ended! Other than that, I love the board! I love the tapered front and the carbon fibre paddle. It feels stable and solid and the tracking is good. I took it on the sea and it also handled small waves well.

Having used the board for three weeks and also purchased and used a Bluefin Cruise 10'8" I feel I can make some sort of comparison that may be useful to potential buyers. I wanted boards from an established UK company that had front and rear grab handles for carrying so these two were the best choices. The Pro is better made and finished; all seams are perfect, there are no blebs or glue over-runs and the D-ring attachments sit flat so less trip risk. There is only a single fin so it doesn't track as well as the 3 fin set up on the Cruise, however it is still fine and is more manoeuvrable. The fin is almost identical to a standard 'Smart Lock' fin and is interchangeable with that type. However, Wave have made a slight improvement to the part that clips in so it takes less pressure to flick the locking clip. (The cruise fins are harder to clip in and it came with spare clips suggesting that the standard design may break). The spec. says the board is 31" wide which is true at its maximum, but it tapers quickly at both ends so is a lot less stable than the Cruise. This means it's not an easy board to learn on (though to be fair it isn't advertised as such). However, if you are up for learning trickier manoeuvres e.g step back turns then this is the better board as the large raised section at the rear is ideal for standing on to balance. Incidentally, it also makes a nice headrest when lying down. The slimmer profile will no doubt also be an advantage in terms of speed, depending on how fast you can paddle. The Pro also weighs noticably less than the Cruise. The carbon paddle is a high-quality item, much better than the Cruise's fibreglass one. It's lighter. smoother to touch and better finished i.e. taped joints. I was initially disappointed that the Pro package doesn't include an extra blade so kayaking is out unless you buy another paddle. However, I can put up with this as I don't intend at the moment to use the kayak seat and would rather have the better SUP paddle which I'm going to use most of the time. I can't comment on the usefulness of the Go-Pro mount other than to say I prefer the smoother, lower profile one fitted to the Cruise. The bag appears well constructed. I like that the shoulder straps are well-spaced at the top to improve carrying comfort. Yes, it hasn't got pockets but that makes for easier packing - just throw everything in. I have had rapid and helpful responses to my email enquiries about registering the warranty and buying accessories, which is reassuring. Also, the company is based in Newcastle so I'm happy to support local employment. Overall I'm very happy with the package. A lot of thought has gone into the board design in terms of both form and function. Quality control at the factory is high - I cannot find anything that's faulty or not up to standard. Don't buy the Pro if all you want is to bimble about in the sun, do buy it if you have the ambition to develop your skills or are already a competent paddler looking for a better board.

My first ever sup and love it. I already practice balance sports so I wanted to buy a pro sup and find it perfect for me. Easy to inflate but had a hard time pushing it up to 15 psi (cause I don't have so much strength in my shoulders) so I bought an electric pump. I would make a little bit more rigid rucksack for transportation, but still a good product over all

Quick and easy to inflate and get out on the water. A more robust option than some of the cheaper packages available without having to go to the much more expensive end of the market.

Top quality product. Easy to pack up and transport. Quick inflate and deflating. Took it out over the weekend with family. Easily had me and my partner on the 10ft board, even managed to get 3 of us on the board with no real problem. And was fine against bigger waves and chop. I am about 90kg and my partner is around 45-50 and the board was easy to manoeuvre with both of us on it. When packed away in the bag it’s also light enough to walk a good distance with. Would definitely recommend.

This board is brilliant. I have the 10ft pro and have taken it on rough and smooth seas. The first day I had it, I took it on 6 - 8ft waves and surfed it with great maneuverability. Another great point is that it's very light in the bag to carry. On the water, it's great for beginners and next level boarders as it's very stable but also very fast if you fancy giving it some effort. I have 2 young daughters and took both on the board at the same time, they really enjoyed it and there was no buoyancy or stability issue at all. It's extremely easy to set up and pack up. I'd highly recommend this board!

This board and seat package represents excellent value and quality for it's price point, The kayak seat works very well and adds an additional angle to the sup activity, The quality is is good, carry bag is comfortable and the double action pump inflates the board in a short time, I would definitely recommend the product and I have brought an additional one for my wife!
