“There are so many SUP suppliers now that look like they all get them from the same manufacturer and just whack a different logo on them, so when I stumbled on Wave I was taken with the unique design. I was looking for an additional paddleboard that was more buoyant than my 10'6" AquaPlanet one as I was basically in the water at 17PSI on that. I was certainly concerned that the single skin and lower PSI (15) would mean that it wouldn't work out for me. So, on my first trip out on the river I was really pleased to find the additional thickness and rigidity meant I was well out of the water! Win! I noticed the single fin made manoeuvring the board loads faster than my AP one with it's three fins. I noticed that it was faster and easier to build speed despite being longer and fatter. Win! The accessories are good quality from what I can see even if some appear very similar to other I have (when will iSUPs start using standardised pump connections?!). The bag is good and the pump easy to use. If I was to change anything about it, I'd like more control over the colours. I have the navy one and love the splashes of aqua colour on the deck and fin but would have loved the same on the paddle. I did ask about changing it out but the team, despite being helpful, weren't able to do it. I did my research on this board and I've found myself evangelising the board and brand now and I there are definitely a sale or two coming Wave's way soon from my fellow Scouts leaders.”
