These products are sturdy, robust and weather resistant including winter frosts and also include a bottom side outlet so a hose connector can be attached. This water butt maintains its shape, even when full of water and its opaque plastic reduces algae growth in the sunlight. It's rotationally moulded for strength and durability and has a 2 year warranty against manufacturing defects. “I very much like the blue water butt. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that you have to drill a hole in the side and risk the connection falling through. There is no lid so getting anything out would be very tricky. I decided to use a drainer from my sink to cover the hole in the top with a drainer from my kitchen sink plughole and rather than filling the top with earth we have lined it with a plastic membrane and filled it with pots. It looks great.”
