“Overall this is a good water butt but the low-level side drain point described as being able to attach a hose or similar to has a completely different thread to the main tap and no connection equipment is available. Standard off the shelf taps for shorter butts assume you can reach down inside which for such a tall butt is impossible. So the search continues for a suitable tap or connector. Without it there is over a foot of water in the base of the butt inaccessible which is undesirable.”

“So far so good, the water butt was delivered to my garden, feels solid and well made and the colour is a great match for my stone wall. It will be erected next week but I feel pleased with the prospect of having rainwater rather than using tap water.”
