“This strap came quickly and was nicely packaged. I was pleased to get it in an odd width (21mm) which can be a challenge. It’s nice and well made but seems very hand made, right down to a slightly wonky buckle resulting from leather not squared off correctly. It’s very soft and comfortable but I’m left wondering quite why it was so expensive. It feels like quality leather but the buckle looks rather cheap. For the price you would expect real excellence in every aspect but it is a little disappointing. Were it not for my relief at getting something with the odd width I would have considered sending it back for a refund.”
Thank you for your feedback John. We will be sure to pass this on to Jean Paul Menicucci about the buckle. JPM are made using some of the best available leather to make these straps by hand. That is where most of the cost comes from. We are working on developing a series of our own high quality buckles which would be better suited to a strap of this quality.
