Hi Edwin, apologies for any confusion here. The 20mm/18mm detailed in the sizing selection denotes the strap measurements at the watch end and at the buckle end. In this instance, a 20mm/18mm option measures 20mm in width where it attaches to the watch and 18mm where it attaches to the buckle. For some people, the measurement at the buckle is just as important as the measurement at the watch end. Hope this helps.
